Where are you based and where are you available to work?
I am based in Slovenia, which is located in central Europe. I’m available to work worldwide, both virtually and in person.
Which languages do you facilitate in?
To ensure the highest quality of my services, I facilitate in languages I’m fluent in, which is English and Slovenian (my mother tongue). I also speak Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Croatian.
How early should I contact you?
In general, reach out to me as early as possible, so we can adequately assess your needs, the timing and duration of your event and the preparation needed.
For virtual meetings, contact me at least 3 weeks before your event.
For in person meetings in Europe, contact me at least 6 weeks before your event.
For in person meetings outside of Europe, contact me at least 8 weeks before your event.
How will our collaboration work?
We’ll go through four steps of the process to ensure clarity, transparency and effectiveness of our collaboration.
Step 1: Collaboration agreement
This step includes:
Our first informative meeting (in person or virtual) to get to know each other, understanding your needs and agreeing we want to work together,
I’ll prepare a proposed design of the process, including my fees,
We’ll finalize and sign our collaboration agreement.
Step 2: Preparation phase
After agreeing the terms of our collaboration:
We’ll have one or more (in person or virtual) meetings with relevant stakeholders, to get a better understanding of the current situation and needs,
I’ll prepare the event’s scenario,
We’ll reach a final agreement about the scenario and logistics.
Step 3: The event
We’ll have a successful event, where I will:
Prepare the event location and all needed materials,
Facilitate the event according to the scenario,
Collect the agreements and outcomes,
Collect feedback from participants.
Step 4: Wrapping up our collaboration
Once the event is successfully implemented, I’ll prepare a final report and we will evaluate our collaboration, to gather any relevant lessons learned for the future.
What are your facilitation fees?
The fees for different events vary, depending on the number of participants, the duration of the event and the complexity of the preparation in advance. I’ll be better able to calculate the fee after our introductory meeting, when we’ll have an agreement about the collaboration process for your event.
In defining my fees for any event, I follow the guidelines of the Slovenian association of facilitators.
Travel expenses via public transport to and from the venue are covered separately by the client, in case of using my own vehicle the cost is calculated according to the Slovenian legislation.
What kind of events can you facilitate?
I specialize in working with organizations and teams that implement campaigns and projects, during which I can help them with facilitating strategic planning processes, regular stakeholders meetings and check-ins, mid-term or end of project evaluations as well as setting up new teams, welcoming new members, organizing team retreats and team buildings.
What type of organizations do you work with?
I take special care and time at the beginning of any project to get to know your organization and understand more about the way you work. This helps me prepare the right process and methods for your culture.
While I don’t restrict my collaboration to any particular sector or organization type, I have most experience working with ambitious teams from the NGO, fundations and start-up sectors. Book your free introductory call to find out more about the way I work and decide if we are a good match to achieve something meaningful together.
Which tools do you use when facilitating online?
The tools can vary depending on the needs, availability and level of expertise of participants, as well as specific policies and tools used by a certain organization. Most often I use Zoom in combination with some other tools: Jamboards, Mural, slides and other interactive sites.
What is the difference between a facilitator, a trainer and a consultant?
A facilitator focuses on the process to help a specific group of people work out what they want to do and how they are going to do it.
A trainer delivers content to share specific knowledge and skills you or your team might need.
A consultant analyses a specific situation and gives recommendations for specific actions so the group or organization can achieve their goal.
